Prior to acquiring Blue Ribbon Pools over 16 years ago, owner Maurice Bushroe had a 22-year career in Fortune 500 sales and executive management. A Florida Certified Commercial Pool/Spa Contractor, Blue Ribbon Pools has always been heavily involved in the community and in industry-related associations such as Building Association Managers of Volusia County (BAM), Florida Swimming Pool Association (FSPA), The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals, Lodging and Hospitality Association of Volusia County, and the New Smyrna Beach of Realtors.
Maurice has served on the Executive Board of FSPA since 2016 and also served on the East Central Florida Chapter as secretary and treasurer in 2014. He is a Director of Building Association Managers of Volusia County and also a member of the Lodging and Hospitality Association of Volusia County.
FSPA is a trade association for the pool and spa industry with approximately 600 member businesses in 16 Chapters across Florida. FSPA provides the industry with access to continuing education courses, information on current trends and issues, an arbitration program and government relations’ representation with its state office located in Sarasota.
